On June 1 and 2, the 2nd stage of the International Competition of Student Research Papers in Individual Specialties was held at the Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, under the patronage of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO. The competition has never seen such a large number of representatives from different countries - it brought together students from 30 countries.

For 10 years in a row, the NUWEE team joins the celebration of the World Embroidery Day. It is noteworthy that the number of people willing to take a joint photo in embroidered shirts to emphasize their national identity is growing every year.

Recently in Ukraine published a fresh ranking of higher education institutions based on Scopus indicators. The National University of Water and Environmental Engineering took 40th place, which is 6 positions higher than last year.

The results of the rating are based on the citation rates of scientific articles published by educational institutions or their specialists.

On May 30, the final of the "Beauty of Invincibility 2023" project was held in the assembly hall of the NUWEE. Out of 20 girls who registered, 12 bravest ones decided to fight for the victory. This year, the contest changed not only its name, but also its concept.

On May 11, the final of the Cool Idea university competition for student startups, held as part of the Science Festival, took place in the reading room of the Scientific Library of the NUWEE.

8 projects in the nomination "Best social startup" and 6 projects in the nomination "Best technological startup" from Institute of Mechanics, Institute of Construction and Architecture, Institute of Agroecology and Land Management, Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering, Institute of Economics and Management, Institute of Agroecology and Land Management, Institute of Law were submitted to the competition.

Every year, students have the opportunity to obtain various types of scholarships: ordinary, advanced, scholarships of the city or regional mayor, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ukrainian Parliament, scholarship named after M.S. Hrushevsky, other types of named scholarships, benefactors, as well as the President of Ukraine.

Five young scientists from the Rivne region, including our scientists, will receive regional awards in the amount of fifteen thousand hryvnias. The awards are intended for merits and achievements in the field of fundamental and applied research and scientific and technical developments.

A good tradition that has successfully developed over many years at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering is the annual celebration of the Science Festival. This year, it will last from April to May 2023. One of the most important tasks for higher education institutions is to hold the scientific front with dignity.
