Within the framework of the International Summer School, a delegation of representatives of the National Academy of Sciences visited the University of Agriculture in Krakow.

On July 13, 2023, teachers and graduate students of our university visited the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy of the Krakow University of Agriculture (Hugo Kollantai Krakow Agricultural University).

At the extended meeting with Polish colleagues, a number of scientific issues were discussed, which today constitute current directions in the field of hydrology, ecological safety of flooded areas, urban planning and regulation of surface runoff in urban areas, wastewater treatment, and biotechnological solutions in environmental protection technologies. For their part, the Polish colleagues outlined their field of research and the development of educational activities at the Krakow University of Agriculture.

Within group meetings, scientists from both sides conducted a more detailed exchange of experience and clarified the relevance of scientific research for possible further cooperation. Thus, representatives of the educational and scientific institute of agroecology and land management familiarized their Polish colleagues with the results of their work in the field of agronomy, aquaponics and biomonitoring of the environment. Representatives of the educational and scientific institute of water management and environmental management continued and strengthened the already existing ties with Krakow scientists regarding hydraulic research and the development of hydraulic construction. Representatives of the educational and scientific institute of construction and architecture had a fruitful discussion on the modernization of municipal wastewater treatment facilities.

The Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, professor Nataliya Savina, told her Polish colleagues - representatives of the administration of the Krakow University of Agriculture about the experience of international cooperation of the National Agricultural University of Ukraine and the prospects for its expansion.

Many issues outlined by the representatives of the delegation from NUWEE turned out to be common and interesting for Polish scientists. Based on this, an agreement was formed on further communication between the scientists of our university and the scientists of the Krakow University of Agriculture, the search for new solutions on the relevant research topics, and the joint approbation of the results.
