The last type of competition scheduled in the sports calendar for the 2022-2023 academic year has ended. For the first time, the NUWEE 4x4 volleyball championship was held. The winners were team of the Institute of Construction and Architecture: Zemba I., Zemba M., Shevchuk Y., Gavrylenko V., Kachula B. The Institute of Economics and Management took second place, and the team of institutes took third place.
The Department of Physical Education and the Sports Club held the Universiade of the NUWEE in full and the university championships among students in 11 kinds of sport.

As a result, for the first time in history, team of the Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering became the winners of the XXIV comprehensive Universiade of Institute of Water Management and Environmental Engineering, which scored 42 points, as did the Institute of Construction and Architecture team. Due to additional indicators (the number of first places), the Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering team overtook the "builders". The Institute of Healthcare team was in third place, having scored 41 points.

Also in May, on the initiative of the student parliament and the trade union committee, competitions were held among the dormitories in 5 sports (mini-football, volleyball, chess, table tennis and tug-of-war).
In addition to internal competitions, our students defended the honor of the university at city, regional, all-Ukrainian and international tournaments.
The national table tennis team won the First League of the open championship of the region and entered the higher league.
The men's basketball team successfully competes in the amateur league of the Rivne region.
Vadim Kobliuk Institute of Water Management and Environmental Engineering), Valentyn Sheptytskyi (Institute of Healthcare) and Ilya Ozimkovskyi (Institute of Mechanics) became the winners of the championship of Ukraine in the higher league as part of the BC Rivne team.
Angelina Hryhoruk (Institute of Healthcare) as part of the women's team BC "Rivne" won bronze awards in the Super League of Ukraine, and Sofia Vakhniuk (Institute of Mechanics) and Maria Ostapchuk (Institute of Construction and Architecture) are players of the team of the higher league - "Osdusshor" Rivne.
The men's volleyball team became the first cup winner of the Rivne region and represented our region at the Universiade of Ukraine.
Fomych Stanislav (Institute of Economics and Management) and Kriuchok Nazar (Institute of Mechanics) became bronze medalists of the championship of Ukraine in the First League as part of the "Patriot" team.
Dmytro Oliynyk (Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering) and Ivan Homeniuk (Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering), playing for the team "KHAES" Netishyn, won silver medals in the Second League of Ukraine.
The women's volleyball team became the champion of the region, beating in the final the team "Regina", the winners of the higher league of Ukraine, and Kurchenko Anna (Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering) and Savchyn Iryna (Institute of Healthcare) represented our region at the Universiade of Ukraine.
Our footballers play for "Veres". Dmytro Shukh (Institute of Healtcare) is in the first team, and Mykhailo Protasevych, Ustymets Nazar, Vladyslav Petrov, Mykhailo Kulyk (all Institute of Healtcare) and Dmytro Bokii (Institute of Construction and Architecture) play for juniors.
In swimming, Danylo Rusin (Institute of Healthcare) won the championship of Ukraine and, together with Veronika Dvorak (Institute of Healtcare), are members of the national team of Ukraine.
In kickboxing, Oleksandr Kolesnyk (Institute of Healthcare) took second place at the championship of Ukraine among students.
Mykyta Brukhanskyi (Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering) won the championship and cup of Ukraine in rowing.
Gonta Dmytro (Institute of Healthcare) is a member of the Ukrainian shot put team.
Stanislav Borovets (Institute of Economics and Management) won silver medals at the Ukrainian archery championship.
Oleksandr Bogomolov (Institute of Mechanics) is a prize-winner of the regional championship in Greco-Roman wrestling and a participant in the championship of Ukraine.
Vitalii Parkhomchuk (Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering), Zyl Ivan (Institute of Construction and Architecture), Denis Panasyik (Institute of Construction and Architecture) performed at the Ukrainian armwrestling championship. Prize winners were Myronchuk Vladyslav (Institute of Mechanics), Volodymyr Smoliichuk (Institute of Water Management and Environmental Engineering). And Dmytro Poliukhovych (Institute of Construction and Architecture), to two medals at the championship and cup of Ukraine, added a silver medal at the European Championship in Moldova.
During this academic year, more than 600 students received additional points for attending physical education classes, active participation in the sports life of the university, participation in city, regional, all-Ukrainian, and international competitions.
The department of physical education thanks the administration of the university, institutes, the student trade union committee, the student parliament for their support, as well as all students who attended classes and participated in competitions.
