Traditionally, at the beginning of the new academic semester and studying process for the NUWEE newcomers the „O! Week” was held. This is a week during which students get useful and practical information about the University, studying and research process and get acquaintance with all structural university units and students organizations, sport activity, etc.

UI Greenmetric World University Rankings 2023 has been published - an international ranking that assesses the sustainable development of universities in the context of global changes.

In connection with the war, the university shifted its focus to charitable and volunteer activities.

National University of Water and Environmental Engineering (NUWEE) has implemented the first round of the comprehensive adaptation online course tailored for international students: "Integration and Adaptation in Ukraine: First Steps" within the framework of International Students Adaptation and Integration / INTERADIS project (619451-EPP-1-2020-1-NL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP).

From August 26–30, 2024, the Foggia University (Italy) hosted a training on sustainable development as part of the INTERADIS/International Student Integration and Adaptation project (619451-EPP-1-2020-1-NL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP).

The NUWEE professors and students developed a website for IDPs.
