From August 26–30, 2024, the Foggia University (Italy) hosted a training on sustainable development as part of the INTERADIS/International Student Integration and Adaptation project (619451-EPP-1-2020-1-NL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP).

The event brought together partners from several institutions, including National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, KROK University, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Odesa National Polytechnic University, Mariupol State University, Sumy National Agrarian University, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv , Ukrainian State Center for International Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and others. International partners included Netherlands Business Academy (Netherlands), Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden (Germany), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), and Hultgren Nachhaltigkeitsberatung UG (Germany).

The training focused on sustainability in international projects, emphasizing the importance of complying with regulatory requirements, improving resource efficiency, managing risks, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. The following NUWEE representatives were engaged in the training: Viktor Moshynskyi, Nataliia Savina, Dmytro Nikytenko and Halyna Vlasiuk.

The main objective was to create a shared sustainability strategy and tailor individual strategies for each Ukrainian partner involved in the project. The week featured workshops on preparing sustainability strategies, collaborative team activities to exchange experiences, and discussions on recommendations for successful project implementation. Informal sessions also explored new opportunities for future cooperation.
