Professor Harsha Ratnaweera and Associate Professor Zakhar Maletskyi from the University of Natural Sciences (Norway) maid a working visit to The National University of Water and Environmental Engineering.
As part of the planned program of the visit, meetings were held with Viktor Moshynskyi, Rector of NUWEE, and Nataliia Savina, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs.
Foreign colleagues had several short meetings-discussions with the staff of NUWEE. During the visit, the working group of the Water Harmony grant project - Integration of Education, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Water Harmony-II extension https://www.waterh.net/) met.
Lectures by Harsha Ratnaweera, Professor at the University of Natural Sciences (Norway), on "Overcoming New Challenges in the Water Sector" and Zakhar Maletskyi, Associate Professor at the University of Natural Sciences (Norway), on "Methods of Cleaning" sewage in the context of the circular economy: from the removal of pollutants to the recovery of resources "gathered a large audience of faculty, graduate students and students of the Institute of Water and Natural Resources Management, the Institute of Agroecology and Land Management, the Institute of Construction and Architecture, the Institute of Automation, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering, Rivne Technical College.
Colleagues from Norway visited the innovation unit Engineering Laboratory "NOOSPHERE", a laboratory of cyclical aquatic ecosystems, created with the support of the grant project TENOR: Towards the circular EcoNomy in Organic faRming tenorproject.eu.
During the visit, Harsha Ratnaweera was awarded the diploma "Honorary Professor of NUWEE" for significant personal contribution to the development of international cooperation and innovative development of The National University of Water and Environmental Engineering.
