The annual ranking of higher education institutions in Ukraine based on Scopus bibliographic database indicators has been published on the Education.ua website
It should be noted that the results of the ranking are based on the citation indicators of scientific articles published by educational institutions or their specialists.
Scopus is a bibliographic and abstract database and a tool for tracking the citation of articles published in scholarly journals. It is one of the components of the integrated scientific information environment SciVerse.
The Scopus database continuously indexes over 20,000 scholarly journals in technical, medical, and humanities fields, as well as publications from scientific journals, conference proceedings, and books.
In the ranking table, Ukrainian universities are ranked by the Hirsch index, a quantitative indicator of the number of scientific publications and the number of their citations.
According to the results of the 2024 ranking, NUWEE holds the 34th position, which is 6 places higher than last year. This is a very good result! In terms of numbers, the indicators are as follows: number of publications - 1354, number of citations - 7488, Hirsch index 2024 - 37, Hirsch index 2023 - 30, difference - 7. Our competitors: West Ukrainian National University,
Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University and Ternopil National Technical University are a few steps lower.
