From October 29 to November 3, 2024, the XIII International Festival Sikorsky Challenge 2024: Innovations for the Peace and Security of Ukraine was held at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

This year, the Innovation Startup Project Competition received 140 project applications, of which 65 were admitted to the finals by the jury. 

Three startup teams from the university participated in the competition program: 

1. "Driver Support". Team Leader: S.O. Stadnyk. Team Members: Petro Antoniuk, Anna Yeromina, Roman Hoch, Maksym Bobryk (Institute of Mechanical Engineering).
2. "SmartBoil". Team Members: Diana Lopatina (Team Leader), Vladyslav Danchenkov, Mykyta Brukhanskyi (Institute of Cybernetics, Information Technologies and Engineering).
3. "Cooling Pet Mat" (Institute of Cybernetics, Information Technologies and Engineering).

The finalists are: 

- "Cooling Pet Mat", an innovative mat for pets.  Team Members: Volodymyr Vasyliv (Team Leader), Iryna Levchuk (Designer), Oleksii Parfeniuk (Engineer), Vadym Zhyla (Financial Manager). 

- "SmartBoil". Team Members: Diana Lopatina (Team Leader), Vladyslav Danchenkov, Mykyta Brukhanskyi.
