18 best students of higher education institutions of Rivne received the mayor's scholarship for excellent studies and an active public position.
Among the honorees are Victoria Mishchuk, a first-year student of the second master's level of program "Business Analytics" and Ivanna Berezhniak, a third-year student majoring in "Transport Technologies" at the Mechanical Institute. Also among the best were students from Rivne State Humanitarian University, Rivne Medical Academy, Rivne Cooperative Economic and Legal College, Rivne Economic and Technological College, Rivne Technical College, Rivne College of Information Technologies, Rivne Automotive College, Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities, Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" and Rivne Institute of Kyiv University of Law.
The purpose of such an event and reward is to support talented youth, stimulate active activity, moral and material encouragement.
Named scholarships are awarded to students of institutions of professional pre-higher and higher education, taking into account: excellent studies; victories at all-Ukrainian student Olympiads, participation in international, all-Ukrainian scientific conferences and seminars; achievements in technical creativity, scientific research, engineering, robotics, the field of information systems and technologies (author's developments, rationalizing proposals, participation in work on the development of current scientific problems); obtaining the title of laureate (winner, diploma holder) at all-Ukrainian, international competitions, festivals, other artistic events.
The amount of payments depends on the level of accreditation of the educational institution. If it is the I-II level of accreditation, it will be 45% of the minimum wage (approximately UAH 3,195). If it is the III-IV level of accreditation, then 60% of the minimum wage (approximately UAH 4,260).
Acting Mayor Viktor Shakyrzian congratulated the winners with the awards, presented everyone with certificates and noted: "I am proud of the youth of Rivne and I am sure that these young people are the driving force of changes in the city. We have someone to fight for and develop our city. I believe that these young people will definitely have a peaceful future under the Ukrainian sky. And their ideas and dreams will definitely be implemented after our victory."
