On March 21, a round table on "Artificial intelligence in education: questions and answers" was held online at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering.
The purpose of the event was to popularize among scientific and pedagogical workers the possibilities of using AI for educational activities and to increase the general level of intellectualization.
More than 100 employees and students of higher education participated in the event. The event was moderated and initiated by Valeriy Soroka, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Educational Work. According to him, just a few years ago artificial intelligence was something distant and was not used in education, but today it has become an integral part of it.
The main speaker of the event was the CEO of DevRain and STO DonorUA, an expert in the field of AI Oleksandr Krakovetskyi, who told the audience about interesting facts about the existence of artificial intelligence, its types, benefits and risks associated with its use.
In addition, the employees and students of NUWEE gave reports on the theoretical and applied aspects of the use of AI in the educational process and on their own cases and user experience.
There is discussion and debate, especially on issues of ethics, integrity and the legal field. It should be emphasized that the round table was only the first step in the implementation of the global policy for the use of AI in NUWEE, and work in this direction is ongoing and will be expanded.
