This weekend, the delegation of the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, consisting of Vice-Rector Podlevskyi Andriy, Head of the Public Relations Department Prokopets Vitaliy, Head of the Information and Computing Center Nazaruk Vitaliy, Head of the Planning and Financial Department Marchuk Mykola, and Leading Specialist in International Cooperation Vlasiuk Halyna, visited working visit to the Kyiv School of Economics.
The reason for the trip was participation in the School of Sustainability of Universities, which was held within the newly created Alliance of Ukrainian Universities, where our university, along with the Kyiv School of Economics, Ukrainian Catholic University, Sumy State University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and National Technical University «Dnipro Polytechnic», participated in the role of founder.
The event lasted two days. On the first day, work took place in thematic sections in the format of a world cafe. Among the topics of the sections are "Campus Life", "Quality Distance Education", "Mental Health", "Academic Integrity" and "International Partners".
It is worth noting that the work in each of the sections ended with the formation of a road map for solving the most acute problem of the given direction. We believe that in the future these roadmaps will develop into real projects and will be implemented in universities of the alliance and outside it.
The second day offered participants 3 powerful panel discussions and a presentation of the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities. Among the topics of discussion are "Sustainable universities", "Socially responsible universities" and "Brain drain and the role of universities in returning talents to Ukraine". Among the speakers are the top management of Ukrainian universities, representatives of the authorities and public organizations.
In general, both days of the School of Sustainability turned out to be extremely intense and well organized. Our university is convinced of the need to unify, to find new approaches to higher education in Ukraine, because time does not stand still, every day we receive new challenges, new risks that we have to solve with dignity, and together we will succeed in everything.
