A round table was held in the conference hall of the university dedicated to Europe Day in Ukraine - a holiday that will be celebrated in Ukraine on May 9 from 2023. The event was attended by students, teachers and employees of NUWEE.
The event was opened with welcome speeches by Nataliia Savina, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations and Vladyslav Solodkyi, Head of the Department for International Student Affairs.
International cooperation specialist and academic relations, Halyna Vlasiuk, gave an online presentation on the topic "Academic mobility opportunities for NUWEE students abroad", where she spoke in detail about the partners with which NUWEE works, and academic mobility programs, including training, internships, summer schools, grant projects, and short-term, virtual, blended, and intensive blended programs. Halyna Vlasiuk emphasized that academic mobility is one of the priorities of the nationalization strategy of NUWEE and an effective tool for improving the quality of education.
The active discussion in the "question-answer" format allowed the meeting participants to find out all the details of the study procedure under the academic mobility programs, so next semester we are expecting even more people who will represent our university in the walls of foreign educational institutions, even more people who will take over the experience and develop Ukraine! We sincerely invite you to actively participate in international exchange programs and enrich your academic and life experience!
Students Oleksandra Levshuk, Victoria Mishchuk and Tetiana Kreich shared their impressions of participation in academic mobility programs, in particular the twinning program with the University of Newcastle (UK), summer schools with foreign partner universities, and participation in grant programs implemented at NUWEE. All of them urged students to be active, take the initiative and not lose their chance to gain new knowledge, experience and learn more about other cultures.
Next, the student of the preparatory department for foreign citizens from China, Zhang Kaiyue, recited Li Bai's ballad "Enter the wine" in Chinese, and the student from Moldova, Lina Cotrobai, read the poem "Beautiful as the passing day..." by Mihai Minescu.
In addition, the participants of the event had the opportunity to view presentations on integration processes in Ukraine on the way to the European Union.
The event ended with an entertaining quiz "Which European country are represented by the performers at the Eurovision Song Contest", where students received points and gifts for each correct answer.
