An educational event of the Educational Center of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took place in the NUWEE, with the support of the American Councils for International Education in Ukraine and the USAID "Council" Program.

The event was opened by the head of the Educational Center of the VRU, Olena Kostyniuk. Mrs. Olena spoke about the activities of the Educational Center, and, in particular, about this interactive educational event, which took place as part of trips to the regions of Ukraine.

The representative of the Educational Center presented the history and foundations of Ukrainian parliamentarism, the principles of the work of the branches of government in Ukraine - the VRU, its committees and people's deputies, methods of interaction with the Ukrainian parliament. The present students of the Institute of Law and Institute of Economics and Management learned about the activities of the VRU, its functions and structure, cooperation with foreign colleagues. The most interesting, probably, was a practical task from the Educational Center of the VRU: participation in a special simulation of the work of the Ukrainian Parliament. Here it was necessary to simulate the work of a certain committee chosen by the team, conduct a preliminary review of the draft law and prepare conclusions. And then present them. And students of the "Journalism" specialty learned to write articles and shoot video stories about the event.

Despite the air raid signal, it was still possible to fully conduct the presentation and discussion.
