On June 19, 2024, at the department of Agricultural of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of NUWEE, the educational laboratory "Systems of Precision Farming" was officially opened.
This event was significant not only for the university, but also for the whole of Ukraine, because the laboratory is equipped with the most modern equipment that will allow students to acquire knowledge and skills in precision agriculture in practice.
The laboratory includes:
- a model of a KUHN precision seed drill;
- quadcopter XAG V40;
- Trimble autopilot.
At the opening of the laboratory was attended the rector of NUWEE, vice-rector for Administrative-Service Affairs; director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering; representatives of partner companies; students of NUWEE.
In their speeches, the guests of the event noted the importance of creating such a laboratory for the development of science and solving practical problems in the field of agro-industrial complex.
The rector of NUWEE and the leading engineer from the service of control systems and precision agriculture solemnly opened the educational laboratory "Systems of precision farming".
This is an important step for the development of precision agriculture in Ukraine. The laboratory will make it possible to train highly qualified specialists who will be able to use modern technologies to increase the efficiency of agriculture.
The team of the Department of Agricultural Engineering sincerely thanks everyone who helped in the creation of this laboratory. We believe that it will become a center of innovative research and development in the field of precision agriculture and will play a significant role in the development of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine, contribute to increasing its competitiveness on the world market.
It is worth noting that the "Systems of precision farming" will be used not only for educational purposes, but also for conducting scientific research.
Employees of the laboratory plan to cooperate with agricultural enterprises of Ukraine to introduce new technologies of precision agriculture.
The opening of this laboratory is evidence that NUWEE is one of the leading universities of Ukraine, which trains specialists for the modern agro-industrial complex.
