The Center for International Projects "Euroeducation" has prepared a ranking of universities by the number of received patents for useful models, inventions and industrial designs for 2023.

The National University of Water and Environmental Engineering took 13th place in the ranking with 30 utility model patents received in 2023.

In the last three years, thanks to our talented and hardworking scientists, the university submitted 64 applications for utility models to Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation and received 73 patents for utility models. Also, the Sector of Innovation and Technology Transfer prepared 19 applications for the registration of copyright for a work and received 19 certificates of registration of copyright for a work, 15 of them only in 2023.

The main areas of development for which utility model patents were obtained in 2023 are:

• hydraulic construction, automation and water engineering (inventors: V.A. Guryn, S.V. Klimov, I.V. Romanyuk, A.M. Rokochynskyi, V.O. Turchenyuk, P.P. Volk, V.S. Moshynskyi, Filipchuk V.L., Gerasimov E.G., Pinchuk O.L., Tkachuk M.M., Shynkaruk L.A., Safonyk A.P. and others);
• mechanical engineering, agricultural machine equipment, wind energy (inventors: L.S. Serilko, D.L. Serilko, O.R. Strilets, O.S. Stadnyk, O.P. Lukianchuk, S.V. Kravets, Nalobina O.O., Holotyuk M.V., Thoruk E.I., Naumenko Y.V., Marchuk R.M. and others);
• manufacturing technologies of construction products (inventors: L.Y. Dvorkin, O.M. Bordiuzhenko, etc.);
• measuring devices (inventors: Bomba A.Ya., Boichura M.V., Martyniuk P.M., Shatnyi S.V.).

The creative achievements of our inventors are recognized at the annual competition of achievements in the field of innovative activity of scientific and pedagogical workers and departments of the university, which is held at the NUWEE on the occasion of the Inventor and Rationalizer Day. The winners of the competition are selected in two nominations: "Best Department" and "Best Inventor".

We are sincerely grateful to our inventors for persistent creative activity in such a difficult time for Ukraine. We are proud of the high step in the rating of higher education institutions for inventive achievements. We wish further creative achievements for the restoration and prosperity of Ukraine.
