World Vyshyvanka Day is an international holiday designed to preserve ancient folk traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered Ukrainian clothing.

And it has already become a good tradition for our university community to join together on World Vyshyvanka Day. And today this holiday is more relevant than ever, because this very outfit is a symbol of beauty and national identity, a talisman, a link between generations, the genetic code of our nation.

Vyshyvanka occupies a special place in the culture of Ukraine. By the way, for our ancestors, the vyshyvanka was not just clothing, but also a sacred talisman that protected against troubles, diseases, envy and negative energy. It has long been believed that a shirt embroidered with colored threads and decorated with patterns brought success and served as a talisman for the hostess or owner.

Therefore, traditionally, students, teachers, employees of the institution, and all those who want to take a joint photo on this festive day, but also to participate in a charitable cause - collecting funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, have gathered at the "Vodnyka" stadium. So, in the end, they collected about UAH 24,000. An auction was also held, where the branded products of NUWEE were presented: a cup was sold for UAH 1,700, a souvenir plastic drone made on a 3D printer at the university for UAH 1,700, and a souvenir branded drone "NUWEE" for UAH 8,000. All funds collected will be used to support the Ukrainian military.
