On February 6-10, 2024, the All-Ukrainian boxing tournament among men and women, dedicated to the memory of Oleksandr Asaulenka, was held in Kryvyi Rih.

64 boxers from different parts of Ukraine took part in the competition, competing for the title of "Master of Sports of Ukraine" in boxing.

As part of the national team of the Rivne region, an athlete from the boxing department of NUWEE, Maksym Vidnychuk, a first-year student of Institute of Health, majoring in physical education and sports, took part in this tournament. Maksym Vidnychuk is the current master of sports of Ukraine in boxing, so he combines his professional career as a future trainer-teacher, which he chose after his studies, with his professional occupation, his favorite thing - boxing.

Having two fights it the ring, in the final part of the tournament he lost to a more experienced boxer from Poltava and became the silver medalist of the tournament.
