I had a great opportunity to participate as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 program in the international summer semester "Agriculture, Food and Nutrition", which lasted from April 22 to July 12, 2024 at the University of Applied Sciences, Triesdorf, Germany. The semester program has been specially designed for undergraduate students in the field of agricultural sciences and focuses on modern aspects of agriculture and food security.
The program was very intensive and consisted of several key modules that involved both theoretical and practical training. The educational part of the program included lectures and seminars on various topics conducted by leading professors of German universities and invited experts from various countries, which gave us the opportunity to gain modern and relevant knowledge. We participated in real projects related to agriculture and food technology, which allowed us to develop teamwork and project management skills. They had the opportunity to visit farms, research institutions, conduct field and laboratory research.
The program also had a strong international dimension. We interacted with students from different countries, which contributed to intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding. These meetings allowed us to exchange experience and ideas, which is very important in a globalized world.
An equally important part of the program was the cultural component. We visited historical places, which helped us to better understand German culture and traditions.
An international day was also organized, where we had the opportunity to learn about the cultures of different countries and try national dishes.
Participation in the International Summer Semester brought me many benefits. I gained deep knowledge in the field of agriculture, as well as valuable practical experience. The international environment helped me develop my communication skills and make new friends from all over the world. This experience was an important step in my personal and professional development, and I am grateful for this opportunity.
