The 10th Congress of Cross-Border Cooperation in Lublin will start in a few days. The main subject of this year's Congress is "City and Region 2030".
The main debate will be on involving residents in the process of making joint decisions on the organization of urban space, the role of local government in supporting modern entrepreneurship and the functioning of local democracy, media and cultural sector in the post-pandemic reality. The Congress will also host a Partner Forum, where international organizations will be able to share experiences and even find new partners for cooperation. The grantors' exchange was created to get acquainted with the opportunities to receive funding from selected grant programs. The Competition of Good Practices will present the best solutions in the field of initiatives created for the benefit of the local community and cross-border cooperation in Europe and the Eastern Partnership countries in the face of the pandemic.
Within the INTERCULTURE 5S project, the fourth group of volunteers joined the organization and holding of the Congress - 9 volunteers from different cities of Ukraine: Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Yalta, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. Volunteers spent a busy week studying the Polish language, meeting with the Deputy Director of the Lublin Municipal Bureau of International Cooperation, Mr. Roman Jaborkhel, receiving gifts from the Lublin Municipal Bureau of International Cooperation, enjoyed tours and walks around the city, attended a music festival and prepared directly for the Congress.
