As part of the EU project ERASMUS + INTERADIS "Adaptation and integration of international students" from 22 to 26 November 2021 in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, the team of the Netherlands Business Academy organized a training with elements of a study visit for teams partner universities from Ukraine: Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Mariupol State University, The National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, Odessa National Polytechnic University, Sumy National Agrarian University, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
The project group of our university was represented by Nataliia Savina, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs, Dmytro Nikitenko, Head of the Department of International Education and Migration Affairs, Alla Kucherova Head of the Grants Support Department and Elizaveta Mykhaylova Head of Preparatory Department for International Students.
The training program focused on methodologies of personality analysis, communication practices, modern methods of working in an intercultural environment and their practical application in the integration of foreign students into the educational space through cultural, ethnic, social and academic values. The trainings were conducted by experienced experts Prof. Jan van Zwieten, Rector of the Netherlands Academy of Business, Gea van Klompenburg, Mediator Dr.h.c. Steve Austen, Tonnie van der Zouwen, PhD, Sandra Doeze Jager, PhD, Tara Dick, MSc.
We had the opportunity to hear prospects and challenges for the city of Dordrecht in the context of intercultural integration processes from Deputy Mayor Peter Heijkoop.
Various aspects of working with foreign students were discussed with representatives of marketing and administration departments, issues of intercultural communication directly with foreign students.
