The Rivne City Council continues to implement the "NET ZERO Cities" climate neutrality project.

On May 30, in the NUWEE, certificates were awarded to specialists in energy efficiency and energy management who completed the training course in the direction of "Planning and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions". It is worth noting that such training is organized in the Rivne City Territorial Community for the first time. During April-May 2024, 59 students of higher education, who plan to develop in the field of energy efficiency and energy saving, construction and energy, as well as municipal energy management, had the opportunity to gain new knowledge, improve their skills and competencies.

In accordance with the partnership agreement of the NUWEE with the City Council of Rivne, partners of the Energy Efficiency Centre of the NUWEE, teachers of practice in the field of energy audit, project management, design and construction of energy-efficient buildings were involved in the training of specialists in energy efficiency and renewable energy.

The training took place within the framework of the "NET ZERO Cities" climate neutrality project, which is funded by the European Union as part of the «Horizon 2020» research and innovation program.

Earlier, our city is the only one in Ukraine and one of 52 pilot cities in Europe implementing the climate neutrality project "Creation of the NetZero concept for the city of Rivne".
