Traditionally, our city celebrates its birthday on the last Sunday of summer. This year, one of the events was the "Support Rivnenske" festival, which took place in the "Lebedinka" park.
Citizens had the opportunity to get acquainted with high-quality local brands, visit a food court, a fair, hear performances by local artists, and also join panel discussions on hot topics. Thus, university experts talked about climate neutrality, energy efficiency and challenges of the labor market.
NUWEE represented the NetZeroCities project, which is implemented jointly with the city authorities. Thanks to the grant, the community plans to implement new ecological approaches, improve transportation, modernize buildings, energy systems, and manage waste. The project also includes the interaction of the NUWEE with locals, in particular the planned discussion and training the OSMD heads the basics of energy efficiency.
A panel discussion "History of Rivne brands. Problems and challenges (lack of personnel, resources, low-quality education), ways to overcome them", the participants were representatives and managers of local brands Riven, Garne, Koton style, Vilis, as well as the Head of the Public Relations Department of the NUWEE Vitalii Prokopets. The moderator was Artem Hanushchak, the deputy mayor of Rivne. The representative of the university mentioned the regular work that is carried out in the local business-government-community triangle (including the university). Among the latest events is a business breakfast within the framework of the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities, which took place a little earlier at the Smart People business school, where representatives of all the above-mentioned parties were present and actually further steps in cooperation were outlined, and only consolidated at the Festival.
