Every year on November 17 the world celebrates the International Students' Day, a holiday of youth and life. Traditionally, this holiday is celebrated within the walls of the National University of Water and Enviromental Engeeniring. The event was attended by the Rector of NUWEE Viktor Moshinskyi, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs Natalia Savina and the entire staff of the Center for International Cooperation and Education, led by Igor Tymoschuk.
A special guest of this event was the head of Rivne, the esteemed mayor Oleksandr Tretyak.
The rector addressed the students with a welcoming speech, wishing them a thirst for knowledge and new achievements. Natalia Savina, Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs, in turn stressed the importance of student years in everyone's life, encouraged students to value this time and actively participate not only in the educational process but also in the socio-cultural life of the university.
Oleksandr Tretyak addressed the students with a welcoming speech in Ukrainian and English, shared pleasant memories of his student years and the experience of volunteering in African countries, where he had the opportunity to visit.
He initiates a project for young people "Live, learn, work in Rivne", which aims to make the scientific, educational and cultural potential of our city feel comfortable in it and have the desire and ability to live and create for the benefit of his hometown.
The event, organized by the Department for International Students Affairs, headed by its head Vladislav Solodkyi, aimed to bring together young people from different countries to establish intercultural communication and friendship, as well as to introduce students to the concept of the INTERADIS grant project.
During the holiday, everyone had the opportunity to learn more about the culture of students from different countries, some features and difficulties they encountered while studying in Ukraine and to communicate in an informal setting.
