Five young scientists from the Rivne region, including our scientists, will receive regional awards in the amount of fifteen thousand hryvnias. The awards are intended for merits and achievements in the field of fundamental and applied research and scientific and technical developments.

Thus, in April, the competition commission identified applicants for the regional award. Based on the decision of the competition commission, the award was assigned by a joint order of the heads of the Rivne Regional Council and the Rivne Regional State Administration.

A total of five studies were submitted for consideration by the commission. One of them is collective. The works concerned water reclamation, transport technologies, veterinary medicine and food safety, the use of information technologies and the use of artificial intelligence methods in medicine, and the history of law.

Scientists who worked independently will receive the full award, and for teamwork, each will receive a corresponding part.

Among the young scientists of NUWEE - professor of the department of water engineering and water technologies Pavlo Volk, who worked for about eight years on scientific research on improving the methodology of creating and functioning of drainage systems;

Acting head of the Department of Transport Technologies and Technical Service Viktoriya Nikonchuk. For 12 years, the Doctor of Economic Sciences studied the ways and possibilities of improving the quality of transport services and ensuring the efficiency of the route network in Rivne.

The prize will also be awarded to a team of teachers consisting of associate professors of the Department of Computing Serhiy Shatnyi and Andriy Sydor and senior teacher of the same department Anastasia Shatna. Their scientific and research work is devoted to the improvement of medical and diagnostic practices for identifying pathologies of the body using information technologies and methods of artificial intelligence. The author's team worked on the topic for about eleven years.
