According to the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" responsibilities for the preparation, provision and control of measures to prevent corruption at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management Order of 31 December 2013 K№ 580 assigned to the Department of Prevention and Detection of Corruption . In particular, the main tasks of the unit are:

• development, organization and control over the implementation of measures to prevent corruption offenses and corruption-related offenses;
• organization of work on the assessment of corruption risks in the activities of NUWEE, preparation of measures to eliminate them, making appropriate proposals to the rector;
• providing methodological and advisory assistance on compliance with anti-corruption legislation;
• implementation of measures to identify conflicts of interest, promote their settlement, inform the Rector and the NAPC on the detection of conflicts of interest and measures taken to resolve it;
• verification of the fact of submission of declarations by the subjects and notification of the NAPC about cases of non-submission or late submission of such declarations;
• monitoring compliance with anti-corruption legislation, including consideration of relevant reports;
• ensuring the protection of whistleblowers from the application of negative measures of influence by the university administration;
• informing the rector, NAPC or other specially authorized entities in the field of anti-corruption about the facts of violation of legislation in the field of prevention and combating corruption.
