Dear Colleagues!

Let me please inform you that Brian Milakovsky and Sergiy Zibtsev are going to give a lecture "Russia's War and Ukraine's Forests: Destruction and Resilience" on the base of the Forest School at the Yale School of the Environment on April 10. Brian and Sergiy are  both Fulbright Scholars and we are happy to help them to circulate the information about this important event among potentially interested audience. They will present fresh data on forest damage due to Russia's 2022 invasion and take a deep dive into two affected areas: the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone and the Siversky Donets valley, where they will look at how war compounds climate change and limited state capacity to create extreme forest fire danger.
