International Students Preparatory Department of the Center For International Cooperation And Education of National University of Water and Environmental Engineering (hereinafter NUWEE) was created by the order # 777 of NUWEEissued on the 30-th of  November.

International Students Preparatory Department is a training and scientific center, which prepares  foreign students and stateless persons for studying  in all specialties of NUWEE and other educational institutions of Ukraine.

Specialists of the Preparatory Department for International Students develop and implement the latest methods and technologies of teaching Ukrainian  and  English as foreign languages, as well as propaedeutic courses of other disciplines.

The guarantee of qualitative education of foreign students is the high qualification of teachers, as well as their development and usage of modern teaching methods. Foreign students at the Preparatory Department for International Students are provided with the best classrooms, specialized offices, laboratories, computer classes, educational and methodological literature.

Preparation of foreignstudents is carried out in two languages:

• Ukrainian;
• English.

Studying Ukrainian  or  English as a foreign language takes place throughout the curriculum of the Preparatory Department for International Students.

Regardless of the chosen specialization of education, the number of hours allocated for studying a foreign language is 600 practical hours, which provides a level of language proficiency in B1.

According to the curriculum of the Preparatory Department for International Students, the study takes place in two semesters. The first 10 weeks of education are taught only in a foreign language with a maximum load of 30 hours per week, which allows you to master the necessary level of language knowledge for studying general disciplines, with beginning of which the number of hours of foreign language is gradually decreasing.

Preparation of foreign students is carried out in the following specialties:

• medical and biological;
• economic;
• engineering and engineering;
• humanitarian.

According to the curriculum of the Preparatory Department for International Students, starting from the 11th week of study, in accordance with the chosen specialization, there is a gradual introduction of such general subjects as: mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, geography, computer science, economic and social the geography of the world,  Ukrainian and foreign literature, the history of Ukraine, etc.

On average, 60 hours are spent on studying each of the general disciplines in Ukrainian  or  English.

The term of education at the Preparatory Department for International Students is 10 months. According to the schedule of the educational process, enrollment of foreign students takes place from the 20-th of August  to the 20-th of October 20 and from the 15-th of  January  to  the 10-th March.

Foreign students who have passed all exams and qualifications receive a certificate of graduation from the Preparatory Department for International Students.
