From October 24 to 31, 2023, the NUWEE championship basketball competition was held in the sports building of the university, as part of the XXV Spartakiad of the NUWEE.

After the group games, the teams of educational and scientific institutes of  the Health care Sciences , Construction and Architecture, Economics and Management and Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering made it to the final four. In the first semifinal, Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering team defeated the team of the Institute of Economics and Management (79-76) with a difference of 3 points. In the second semi-final, Institute of Construction and Architecture  lost to the Institute of Health care Sciences  team with a score of 73-65.

The Institute of Construction and Architecture,  team took 3rd place, beating the Institute of Economics and Management team with a score of 60-51.

The game for 1st place turned out to be quite intense - in the second half of the game, the leader changed 15 times. And only in the last seconds, the Institute of Health care Sciences  team was able to defeat the Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering team  (56-54) and for the second time in a row became the champion of the Institute of Energy, Automatics and Water Management in basketball.

Final distribution of seats:

1st place - Institute of the Health care Sciences

2nd place- Institute of Automatics, Cybernetics and Computer Engineering

3rd place - Institute of Construction and Architecture

4th place - Institute of Economics and Management

5th place - the Institute of Energy, Automatics and Water Management in basketball.

6th place – Institute of Law

7th place – Institute of Mechanics

8th place – institute of  the Health care Sciences

Valentyn Sheptytskyi, a student of the Institute of Health care Sciences, was recognized as the best player of the competition.
